Who We Are
We are a movement-focused virtual exercise studio that inspires and welcomes individuals of all ages and body types to discover a love of moving their bodies in a way that is personally fulfilling, enjoyable, and free from societal pressures or external expectations.
We aim to create a non-intimidating workout environment where people can develop a positive relationship with exercise, embracing movement to enhance their physical, mental, and functional well-being.
We reject the weight-loss-centered approach prevalent in the industry and instead focus on cultivating a genuine love for movement, promoting self-care and intrinsic motivation.
What we stand for (and against).
No Judgement
We are not a judgemental or exclusive community. We celebrate diversity and create a safe space for individuals of all backgrounds, body sizes, and fitness levels. We do not promote comparison or encourage negative self-talk.
No Gimmicks
We are not focused on external appearance or conforming to societal standards. Movementum is about embracing movement for your own well-being, self-care and self-expression. We prioritize intrinsic motivation over external validation.
No Quick Fixes
We are not about quick fixes or unrealistic expectations. We don’t believe in promoting fad diets or extreme workout routines. At Movementum, we prioritize sustainable and enjoyable movement practices that contribute to long-term well-being.
Beyond the Scale
We are not focused on weight loss. We reject the weight-centric approach that dominates the fitness industry. Our emphasis is on helping you develop a positive relationship with movement, independent of weight-related goals or other societal expectations.
Your Pace, Your Choice
We are not about pushing you beyond your limits or promoting a “no pain, no gain” mentality. We believe in embracing movement at your own pace, finding activities that bring you happnies and make you feel good, both physically and mentally.
Jessica Sarolli NASM-CPT, Virtual Coaching Specialist
Hi, I’m Jess!
I founded Movementum from a place of understanding, having grappled with my own relationship to body image and exercise for years. For years, I saw exercise as a form of penance - a way to “earn” indulgences or “make up” for perceived missteps in diet. That mindset trapped me in a cycle where exercise felt more like an obligation than a celebration.
After years of learning to stop feeding into societal expectations, my perspective began to shift. I saw that my self-worth wasn't tethered to a scale or a size on a clothes tag and I embraced the idea that movement wasn't just a means to an end but a pathway to mental clarity and happiness. Sure, there were days where the allure of my sitting on my couch instead of working out was strong. But I learned to listen to my body and its genuine needs, and in doing so, I found a more profound sense of self, strength, accomplishment, and, most importantly, a giddy excitement for movement.
Inspired by my personal transformation, Movementum was born. It's not just a community; it's a place for everyone to experience movement without the weight of societal expectations. I know firsthand the power of movement as self-celebration and the freedom that comes from releasing external pressures.
Let me help you discover your love of movement.
